Ports and routes

Most container cargo to the UAE lands at Jebel Ali in Dubai, the region's main hub, with Khalifa Port serving Abu Dhabi. From Punjab, cargo usually clears customs at an inland container depot or goes straight to a west-coast port such as Mundra or Nhava Sheva, which have frequent sailings to the Gulf.

Jebel Ali is also a major transshipment point, so many of our shipments to other Gulf countries and East Africa move through Dubai.

Lower duty under India–UAE CEPA

The India–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) cuts or removes UAE import duty on many Indian goods. To claim it, your buyer needs a valid preferential certificate of origin for the shipment. We make sure the HS code and origin paperwork match so your buyer gets the lower rate.

Which UAE port do shipments from India go to?

Most container cargo goes to Jebel Ali in Dubai. Abu Dhabi cargo often goes to Khalifa Port. We book whichever suits your buyer's location.

Do I need a certificate of origin for the UAE?

To get lower duty under the India–UAE CEPA, your buyer needs a preferential certificate of origin. We help you apply for it and check that it matches the invoice.
