Project Cargo, ODC and Heavy Machinery
Some cargo doesn't fit in a standard container or on a standard truck. PH Logistics India plans and moves project cargo: over-dimensional cargo (ODC), heavy machinery, industrial equipment and even aircraft, with the permissions, equipment and packing each move needs.
What counts as project cargo
- Over-dimensional cargo (ODC) too wide, tall or long for a standard container
- Heavy machinery and industrial equipment
- Plant and factory equipment shipped in several consignments
- Aircraft and other high-value, one-off shipments
How we plan a project move
Every project shipment starts with the details: dimensions, weights, lifting points and the delivery site. From there we work out the right equipment, such as open-top or flat-rack containers, the route, the lashing and securing, and any permissions needed along the way.
We handle heavy loading, lashing and wooden framing, and coordinate customs so the cargo isn't held at the port or ICD.
Proof: an aircraft through an ICD
PH Logistics India is the only company to import an aircraft at an ICD in India. The aircraft, including a Tecnam P2006T and a Cessna, were imported and customs-cleared at ICD Patiala for the Govt. of Punjab (State Civil Aviation), with special permissions from Customs, DGFT and aviation authorities.
