DAP and DDP, simply explained

DAP and DDP are Incoterms, the international rules that set out who pays for what in a shipment.

DAP (Delivered at Place): the seller arranges transport to the named destination. The buyer handles import clearance and pays the import duties and taxes.
DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): the seller takes care of everything, including import clearance, duties and taxes at destination. The buyer simply receives the goods.

Choosing the right terms

DDP is easiest for your buyer, but you take on the cost and risk of import formalities in their country. DAP keeps those with the buyer. We'll help you choose the right terms for each market and quote accordingly.
