How our trade desk writes news analyses
The PH Logistics India trade desk explains what trade and shipping news means for exporters and importers in Punjab and North India. This page sets out where our stories come from, how AI is used to write them, and how they are checked.
What we cover
Indian customs duties and procedures, tariffs on Indian goods abroad, export incentives, trade agreements involving India, container and air freight markets on India's trade lanes, and disruptions on the shipping routes Indian cargo uses.
We skip stories that don't change what a manufacturer pays, files or plans when they ship goods, such as stock markets, company results and oil prices.
Where the facts come from
Every analysis starts from one report by an established news publisher. We name and link that report at the end of the post. Every fact, figure and date in our analysis must come from it.
We don't copy the report's sentences or reuse its photos. The image on each post is generated from its headline.
How AI is used
An AI model drafts each analysis from the full text of the original report, following written rules: use only facts the report states, keep each government measure separate, get the direction of a duty right, give only advice that looks forward from the day of publishing, and never claim anything about our own clients, prices or shipments.
The Punjab angle comes from our own published pages on Punjab's trade towns, export lanes and shipping guides, which the draft links to.
How each post is checked
- A fact check compares every statement with the original report and flags anything it does not support.
- An editor check reads the draft the way an experienced customs broker would, looking for logic errors, out-of-date advice and generic filler, and scores how useful the post is.
- Code checks catch advice that points to dates already past, and claims about offices or clients.
- A draft that fails is corrected and checked again. If it still fails, it is not published.
How often we publish
At most three analyses a week, and no more than one every two days. Most days no story clears every check, and nothing is published.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, email info@phlindia.com with the link to the post. We correct it on the same page.
Not advice for your shipment
These analyses explain the news in general terms. Duty rates and rules depend on your exact goods, HS code and contract, so check with us or your customs broker before you act on them.
